Monitoring plays an important role in output management of a program/project. Monitoring is the provision and use of information to enable management to assess progress of implementation of project against physical scope pf work/targets for a specific period. It helps the management to take timely decisions to ensure that physical progress is maintained according to approved cost scope of work.

The monitoring of projects is a continuous process and when undertaken by the project management is called Internal Monitoring and in case other than project management is called External Monitoring.

The Community of Evaluators Pakistan has professional capability to design monitoring mechanism of projects/programs in all the sectors of economy. The management of COEP has vast experience of monitoring of Public Sector development projects in the Planning Commission, Govt. of Pakistan.

The management has developed the monitoring mechanism for monitoring of Public Sector development projects. It includes designing of monitoring framework, online communication of dot at Project Monitoring and Evaluation Software (PMES) training of Project Directors, Periodical review of project wise / sector wise and ministry wise to access physical and financial achievements against annual / project targets.
